What it is
Bacopa monnieri is a creeping aquatic herb used in Ayurvedic medicine for over 3,000 years under the name Brahmi. The active compounds — bacosides A and B — are triterpenoid saponins that modulate neurotransmitter systems and reduce oxidative stress in neuronal tissue. Standardised extracts (20–55% bacosides) are the form used in clinical trials.
